Greene and Greene inspired Night Stand

This table was inspired by one I found in the June 1995 issue of American Woodworker (#45). The table was designed and built by Thomas Starbuck Stockton. The size of the table as built was 25"H x 14"W x 13"D. Since I am planning to put the table next to my Queen size pillow top bed, I needed to scale up the size.

One more note: The construction techniques for the top are from Darrell Peart's "Greene & Greene Designe Elements for the Workshop". If you are going to build this piece, I would strongly advise that you purchase a copy. It is full of useful construction techniques for this furniture style.

Exploded Component Drawings

Here is the top exploded. Click on the thumbnail to the left for the full sized image.
The Cabinet is made up of "Leg and Rail" Panels with a center stile to divide them. The Rails have the Greene and Greene cloudlift detail which captures the panel. Click on the thumbnail to the left to see an exploded view of the left side panel. I will provide a more detailed export of each panel component later.
The back panel is very similar to the side with the exception of the dimensions. Click on the thumbnail to the left to see an exploded view of the back panel.
